I've never quite understood this. Can you eat cash, gold or silver? Can you shoot an animal with it? Can you pump water from the ground with it? Could it repair your bicycle or other mode of transportation?
That shite is useless, without any real tangible value its just fiat. Fake money, for fake people, for a fake economy, for a fake world.

Guns and ammo are way more imports for the apocalypse. You can’t barter without security or the other party with the guns will just take your shite.

I had a gentleman I don't know tell me in the grocery store (normal shopping for myself) that his son works for the sheriffs department and we were going to be locked down. Soon.
I tried to explain that they will allow grocery store/pharmacy visits. He wasn't having any of it.
Oh well I tried.

I can do all the above and then some. Have more then enough ammo that I could barter with.

He was dead serious. I'm a wife/mother and I wasn't panicking. He kinda seemed to throw his hands up as if "oh well I tried" and I was the same but from a different line of thinking.
