Sorry. We have been told by POLITICIANS that a positive test is a positive test. The restrictions don’t differentiate between symptomatic and asymptomatic.
There should never have been a single restriction or lockdown. Not a single one

But from a medical standpoint, an asymptomatic person may actually be pre-symptomatic. So a recommendation that everyone with a positive tests isolates makes sense from a medical standpoint. Also, alot of "asymptomatic people werent actually asymptomatic. They had congestions, slight cough, malaise, but kinda ignore it because it isnt that bad.

But it should have been reccomendations, not restrictions.

Look we have been told asymptomatic people are just as concerning as symptomatic as far as spread.

Govt put restrictions on us based on “science”. This was the “science” they used. I never said I agreed with it.

I don’t know if it’s BS or not but that’s what they want you to believe

That is the whole reason the teachers unions are refusing to come to work

No, teachers unions are refusing to come to work because they want to continue getting a full paycheck for doing a quarter (or less) of the work.

I had it. Lost smell for a day. That was the extent... time to crank this shite back open and roll. Talked to my neighbor yesterday and said the past month has been nuts with the decrease in COVID positive cases. Hardly anything

I had it. Felt like an elephant kicked me in the chest.

Colleague’s mom died a few weeks ago from it.

How does a RNA vaccine only have a 4 month effectiveness life? Is that even possible?

I mean at this point how can anyone believe a word coming out of any public officials mouth? Why aren’t people in NOLA removing Destroya from office? Why hasn’t the LAGOP done shite aside from virtue signaling to control the liar in Baton Rouge?

Louisiana needs to stop worrying about Washington and get our own house in order first.

Ok but the reason they are using is “safety” from the virus based on “science”.

The first link that references three months isn't even regarding the vaccine; its natural immunity post-infection. And even then, they know antibodies last three months but were unsure after that timeframe. The newer studies are showing much longer, and more importantly, much stronger immune reactions after the three month window.

No doubt. I know relatively healthy people that have been hospitalized from it. My wife who is in much better shape than me was in bed tired with headache and mild symptoms for a week with it. Her parents, one of which has heart issues, both got it and were fine. That said, they both received precautionary blood transfusions upon diagnosis.

70+ Group Vaccinated

Still a LOT of 70+ out there who want the vaccine and have yet to get first dose.

They just need to get rid of these groups and open it up to anyone who wants one.

Very true. Serious question, does that affect is one can/is asymptomatic or not?

I’m pretty sure it will still show up just at lower values hence why the CDC mysteriously lowered the positive test criteria value just recently. Which begs the question of how many “positive” cases would’ve been negative using the new criteria.

The CDC has not lowered their recommended thresholds. The WHO has recommended lowering, but the CDC (as of yet) has not made that same recommendation. If you dig through some local articles you'll find that it varies lab by lab anyway.

CT threshold 40 per CDC docs (still). Page 37 on the test manual .
