Asymptotic patients spread at a much much lower rate than symptomatic patients. Again, it’s not binary

Yet that is how the powers that be have been treating it. Asymptomatic person still quarantines for 14 days even though as you say they are almost no threat. Just like a vaccinated person.

called covering your arse.

Can you imaging the uproar is someone testing positive (even if they weren't contagious) came into the office and then other people tested positive?

We have had numerous staff with COVID....they are not required to have a negative test to return to work.

Company wants to take that stance...they need to be prepared to have people out for potentially 3 months to get a negative test. Obviously not everyone takes that long to get a negative test, but it is certainly possible.

I had it. Lost smell for a day. That was the extent... time to crank this shite back open and roll. Talked to my neighbor yesterday and said the past month has been nuts with the decrease in COVID positive cases. Hardly anything

at our company if you test positive you absolutely have to have a negative test before coming back into the office.

if you have been anywhere around someone who tested positive you have to stay home for 14 days.

It’s a 10 day isolation period, not 14 day quarantine. But even then it’s really only a fraction of asymptotic patients because the vast majority never know they have it and behave accordingly.

You're talking about a West Point graduate, buster. Only the very finest figs and trannies get to attend that hallowed institute of learning.

Roberto is far too full of manhood not to do it. And I will say "hey baw, nice shot."

Nurse, I posted earlier that I had a co-worker test positive once a week for six weeks and was asymptomatic the entire time. Think the company tried to get him on work man's comp and predictably the insurance provider declined the claim as the company's stance (a negative test required to return to work) was against CDC guidelines.

So it’s your opinion and what I stated was the actual guidance. Could that also be related to people with minor symptoms to no symptoms are much less likely to spread the illness?

I think it's a question of absolutes.

It's true that the vaccine doesn't guarantee you won't get COVID.

It's also true that a very high percentage of those with the vaccine will not get COVID (for some period of time estimated to be 1-2 years I believe)

In other words, the vaccine will severely impact the transmission rates.

For the vast majority of the population, COVID the illness has just been an inconvenience. The people where it is NOT merely an inconvenience and has been quite deadly have been vaccinated (if they wanted it).

Time to get back to normal assuming the vaccine is as good as advertised.

Now that the smoke's gone
And the air is all clear
Those who were right there
Got a new kind of fear
You'd fight and you were right
But they were just too strong
They'd stick it in your face
And let you smell what they consider wrong

Drives me crazy as well. There is a difference between isolation because you have COViD and quarantine because you were potentially exposed to COVID. We have been dealing with this for how long now? It’s not that hard to learn the difference folks

So asymptomatic people don’t spread the virus? We have been told otherwise for almost a year.

You need to stop thinking in absolutes.

I was in the same room as someone for 10-15 minutes who tested positive later that day. I was told that it was a 'low risk' scenario and to be at work the next day.

Look we have been told asymptomatic people are just as concerning as symptomatic as far as spread. Most people thought that was suspect but the powers that be decided otherwise. We shut down the country and the virus still ran through the population. It has run through California just as bad as Florida yet one is basically wide open and the other is shut down.
