When it comes to alimony and child custody, the courts in this country completely destroy men.

Not spousal support. But child support is unrelated to fidelity and he'll have to pay if she's the custodial parent even with 50/50 visitation(particularly in La if he made alot more money than her).

And none of this is black and white but generally speaking.

I’m not sure where you live but if you can prove she’s cheating in Louisiana you don’t have to pay spousal support. The problem is that it’s fairly difficult to prove. Good luck and go get all your money out of the bank before she does.

Not fault driven like alimony. If he had the higher income he cant buy his new stripper girlfriend new titties for 6 months.

When my parents divorced, my dad was awarded custody and my mother had to pay significant child support and alimony. Both parents were executives professionally and my dad owned his own very successful company.

This is why prenup. My wife cheats on me, I keep the kids, she's gone and gets nothing.

Sure it sounds cold, and of course everyone who gets married thinks "this is gonna last forever" but you gotta be realistic and protect yourself.

Oh, ok. Well, anecdotal evidence is good enough for me.
