I'm glad you of all people put it this way, because this is how I look at it as well. It's a glitch...a mistake if you will.
Much like any other biological glitch. Like schizophrenia.
Obviously, no one should be arguing that we as a society ought to be pointing and laughing at people who suffer from schizophrenia. We recognize that they have a biological defect which is no more their fault than their eye color, and try and provide medical help when and where available.
What we don't do as a society is all decide in unison to pretend that the voices and images schizophrenics see in their own mind are real to make them feel better about their glitch. We are not forced as a society to go along with their mental illness and address the imaginary people with whom they interact. Not because we're all dicks, but because we recognize that at the end of the day it's not actually helping them, and because we've all decided that while it's sad a handful of people have this mental disorder there's no reason the rest of us have to mimic it as well.
And yet when it comes to Trans issues, we never seem to address it as you put it...a biological glitch. We call it brave and wonderful and we expect the rest of society to go along with the unfortunate biological glitch each trans person has.
I'm not sure of the correct approach, to be honest with you. If there was a pill that you could take and you'd instantly be the sex you've always felt you were, I'd be in favor of that. Until then, the trans community is asking everyone to pretend on their behalf, and most people are nt ok with that. I do suggest though, that if society was forced to treat other people with "biological glitches" the same way we are forced to treat the trans community, you'd see push back as well. I assure you people would resent having to go along with a schizophrenic every time they started talking to an imaginary person, as an example.

I view the trans issue as a hill to die on. But people who identify as trans aren't the enemy in that battle, or at least they're not the enemy on account of their identity.
The war, IMO, is over truth, and being asked - nay, demanded - to acknowledge belief in something that isn't true. The race issues in our culture are similar. I don't view black men, even black men who engage in criminality, as an ideological enemy. I view people who promote the fiction of a war on black men or an epidemic of police murders of black men as the enemy.

I love how almost every single snarky attack on the OP from the 'enlightened' progressives is using gay or trans slurs or insults of ad hominems centered around painting the OP as gay or trans.
Deep down, it's not about tolerance or progress, it's about rebelling against the norm of happy, healthy nuclear families and traditional roles. There's some serious hate in those oh so enlightened hearts.

I told this story before. Someone I know told me about this dude at work. He said they were shooting the shite one day and this dude he works with.. I will refer to him as Dude 1, was talking about this girl he met on a dating app and that he was going on a date with her.
One of the other guys asked Dude 1 where she was from and her name because he had some hunting buddies who lived where this girl lived. He called one of his buddies and asked if he knew the girl.. And the dude started laughing and was like "dude, you got to let your boy know she used to be a dude. We went to high school together, I can send you a yearbook picture of her when she was a dude".
He did. And the guy who called his friend told Dude 1. Dude 1 thought he was fricking with him until the coworker got the yearbook picture of her when she used to be a him. The person who told me showed me a picture of the now girl.. And if you didn't know ahead of time, you wouldn't know just by looking at her. You would think she was a pretty good looking woman. So yeah, just because yall saw some videos online, not all trans people are obvious.

I doubt anyone in this thread would be against people having a Bible study in a restaurant. You can talk about whatever you want at your table as long as you’re respectful
