What if it was just an alien?

Like in cloacal exstrophy.
One thing people don't understand is that many Disorders of Sex Development were described in the literature very recently. 46 XY CAIS was not well described til around the 1990s, as well as other receptor deficiencies. People do not like to hear this, but there's a high chance that even Gender Dysphoria without a specific DSD has a molecular component, with multiple estrogen receptors as likely sites of dysfunction. What's odd is that the individual with 46 XY CAIS might have a direct avenue for treatment in deciding how they want to present, while a person with the exact same disease process (which is the absence of androgens in the brain at week 10 of embryo development, which prevents virilization of the brain, regardless of gonadal development) won't have the same options, because one was described in the literature at an earlier point in time. This is meaningful in states which made attempts to ban hormone therapy, as distinctions existed in the laws for identifiable DSDs.

quote:not what that means. The amount of trannies in somewhere like Louisiana is likely far and away less than .6% of the population of Louisiana. And that percentage is likely heavenly inflated since we started pushing trans on kids these days. It’s evil to do so
That means that, on average, more than 1 out of every 200 you meet identifies as transgender. Think of how many servers you've had at how many places over the years.

Yes. Better known as progressives.

Well that’s one way to treat a fellow human being like shite. Are y’all a church-going family? Because that would be RICH.

It’s an easy conversation if your take has evolved even slightly beyond “our server shouldn’t be allowed in public cause he is wearing makeup”
I don't think it's really a matter of where to have such a discussion or give an explanation, but rather when and how. I agree that an "evolved" personal understanding of the overall concept is necessary, but of course "evolved" doesn't necessarily equate to one opinion or the other on the subject. But an evolved basis for one's opinion is clearly preferable.
I would say this: The more "evolved" your position is on this, whether it's one side or the other (i.e. approve or disapprove) the more difficult the conversation would be, most especially on an impromptu basis. To be effective it's got to go a good bit further than just whether it's ok for a man to wear makeup and/or dress like a woman or not.

Did your server write preferred pronouns on your coaster, upside down?
quote:Doing your part to marginalize, ostracize, and punish? I mean how dare someone different than you try to be productive and participate in society, right?

quote:You don't have to be "woke", educated will do. While surely some people do things for attention, it is probably far more common than you think for people to have legit medical conditions that cause them to be neither fully male nor female.
#notwoke
And while it may seem like a "fad", more likely it is a real movement for acceptance into society. Same way "all of a sudden" gay people started demanding acceptance, and black people, and every other group that wasn't always and maybe still isn't treated equally by society on the whole.

Don't get too worked up over it. OP has probably had a homosexual wait on him and not walked out.
He will eventually be as conservative as progressives are today.

Your choice to walk out. Restaurants choice to hire.
There is a dollar general in BR with a tranny working there. I brought my kids in all the time. The first time,They said “why is that man trying to be a lady?” And I say well I guess that’s what he wants to be. They laugh (in the car after) and think it’s funny (not prompted by me) and we moved on. They said hi when we say he/she every time after that and everything was good.
So, they have been exposed to it and at very young ages, processed it and dismissed it as “weird” and “not normal”.
Which is the usual response when you give kids the facts, let them think about it, and not make a big deal about it.

Compassion and kindness in all matters. I think some people choose hard paths and when you run across them you choose compassion and kindness. It’s kind of like a personal ethos. As a father though, with kids, I respect your decision. You were the one that was there.

I don’t see a reason not to be civil to people that aren’t being jerks.
That person is working while a lot of slack asses are sitting at home collecting these enhanced unemployment benefits. Good for them.

If people would do some math they would see even .6% is insanely high.
That means there should be 30 trannies in my town of 5000.
No one here knows of a single one.
