Lol there is another large Superdome renovation project coming up for bid now

Why? Louisiana can sink dollar after dollar into the Superdome. But the second the lease is up, when Ms Benson says "I'm ready for my new stadium, Louisiana - What can you do for me?"

What are we going to do?

They will play in that site forever and continue to renovate. It’s a perfect site and the state doesn’t have the money to fork up for a new stadium and never will. If you’ve paid attention the Bensons have purchased essentially all the major property surrounding the Dome and the Arena in the Benson Tower and now the Hyatt. The only other site that would’ve ever made sense was building it over what used to be the Iberville Projects on the North side of the Quarter.

Maybe. Or it might be falling through. A couple weeks ago they were still touting it opening when the building started coming down.

Hopefully they reopen the pass through access through the hotel to the Dome. So dumb how they cut that off.

Parking, a-hole neighbors, size, and amenities all are terrible there for an NFL game though.

No doubt

Saints would have to bus folks in. Driving around Tulane is already a PITA during Tulane games and there's maybe 10k people who goto these games.

Tiger Stadium at the end of the day is the best option but I'm not sure if LSU would agree to allowing this to happen. We would need 8 Sundays that would not follow a LSU home game. LSU does not have the manpower to put on a noon Saints game following a Saturday night college game.

Ahh yes Jim Haslett and Aaron Brooks era

Did you go to these games? No one was there.

During a time of catastrophic event TS was a legit option.

Went to all four. And LSU could handle the turnaround just fine. Illinois, Washington, Memphis, and Minnesota have managed it just fine...

I know the Vikings played in UMinn during new stadium constructions but Illinois and Memphis?

Not doubting you but both why and which NFL teams?

Memphis is 3 hrs away from Nashville and Champagine is just as far away from Chicago.

Titans (TN Oilers) played at the Liberty bowl before their Nashville stadium was finished and the Bears played a season in Champaign-Urbana while Soldier Field underwent renovations in the early 2000’s

The Miami game was a shitshow.

But that may have had to do with the Will Call requirement. My dad had season tickets but since we got nailed in MS and I was at LSU, I used them. Since attendance was low you could add tickets for free and had to pick up at will call. Line was hundreds of people deep.

As long as they avoid that it's doable.

I don’t think they had over 27,000 for any of the Saints games in TS.

The TS Saints games were completely miserable affairs, but it didn’t have much to do with the actual logistics of it. It was just all around depressing as hell.

I think given any actual time to plan TS becomes a great option. All the problems came from throwing together a plan at the 11th hour and the state and BR being a wreck at that time.

Season ticket holders could be accommodated and maybe even run a train from NOLA to BR to try and add to the event.

Would love to SEE a year or two at Tiger Stadium. Especially without the worries of a life altering hurricane and a good team. Bring the FAL CLOWNS TO TIGER STADIUM ON A SUNDAY NIGHT AND STSDB
