Holy fat people hell batman!
There was food all over the buffet area spilled ever where. I literally almost slipped and fell on a chicken wing. Got spaghetti sauce on my shoes.
25% of the table still had piles of dishes on them. Trash on the floor every where.

Unless your wife is your mother's sister's daughter, which would make you incestuous, stop focusing on how much different your in-laws are than you and your parents. During my first three years of marriage, that is all I did. Then, I realized my parents have hang-ups and quirks that others may see as quite faulty.
Rarely do we, in this age, unless HS sweethearts who grew up in the same neighborhood in a similar income bracket, marry someone who is going to give us a reflection of ourselves. Your in-laws like eating at Golden Corral; your parents would have taken you and your bride to a place like Juban's. We get it. It's most of our stories. And usually, the "family" is worse than the in-laws as far as "trashiness". I bet they enjoyed it.
Now go dip your dessert under the chocolate fountain and STFU.

I mean it's one thing to not go there for your anniversary dinner, but I don't see why people raises fuss about a random Tuesday night. You really think it's worse then Pizza Hut delivery or even some fast food?

The only “restaurant” my company set up in the last storm I worked was Golden Corral. It was all that is wrong with America and worse than I had prepared for going in. And the crowd was very diverse by race. Not so much on fatty vs skinny
