Wait, so the ump hunter then snitched on the ump for having a gun in car?

Having said that, if the ump showed the gun in his waistband while walking back to the car, seems like he must have had the gun either on his person or in his bag while on the fields (or in his bag stashed away in a stand or something) and that also is a really, really bad idea.
The question not asked, that should be is, why did the ump feel the need to be packing at a little league game? Something tells me he had some kind of idea of the type of parents in that league.

Ridiculous. Just last night my son’s game was ended early because of parents.

Coach told to control parents or I’m ending it, coach said end it.

Could be one of two reasons, in my experience (or could be both)

1) Because of the shite the parents do at games, the only people that will call a game are the type of people that think packing heat at a little league game is acceptable

2) He's had issues in the past with parents chasing him

I mean, it's not the same, but we've had umpires sent out to call games for us that are on their phone during the game, like, standing behind the mound, while the game is going on, looking at their phone. Because they have to hire whoever shows up, otherwise, we don't have any umpires.

There are some hot head coaches out there... for sure... but many of them get yelled at by the parents just as much as the umpires do...

Having been an ump for a year, I side with the ump.

Parents of youth involved in sports are insane.

He better hope his phone doesn’t ring at p&g trashy family funeral. He’ll need the gun.

How much does an umpire make calling a game at this level anyway?

TL:DR Parent/Coach followed umpire to his car where he had to show his gun to get het parent/coach to back off.

So the league needs to contact that parent and tell them that they to explain to their child why they've been banned from league play for the rest of the season.

I’ve seen some horrible soccer calls, but who cares in the end? I’ve never understood anger towards a ref.

Yeah, couldn’t hear words, another parent gave the recap, but coaches body language was very much “frick it, just end the game”

I Cleared the bleachers in two different games, sent all the parents to the parking lot.

Our league recently issued a one-year facility ban to a parent that chased a referee (this was soccer) to his car.

Our HS last year had to ban a parent from all future district sporting events because he tried to run his kid’s assistant coach over for not playing him “enough minutes”.

Now you’ve gone and done it.

Brayden gonna be playing golf with his crazy arse parents driving the course in a cart hunting down officials.

What happens in the parking lot, stays in the parking lot.

I sure with the Ump. Sports fan parents can be crazy.

I do as well. I used to ref soccer games and quit doing it because of the a-hole parents. One did follow me to my car once, but I just ignored him and got in my car and left.

ump was probably in the right, but i was taught don't show your gun until you have to use it. If you pull it, you should be ready to kill with it.

Who said he wasn’t.
