Not sure how Louisiana does it at this point but you don't need a CCDW in Kentucky anymore if you're 21 and up.
The law tomorrow also changes the age to 18 in Louisiana. They still can’t buy a handgun though.

I would disagree. People who carry guns aren't afraid of shite. They have a gun.

It's not a huge leap to say those who insist on carrying guns with them everywhere they go are, in fact, the beta male pussies.

A year from now, I wonder if more innocents will die as a result of this idiocy or if there'll be more criminals killed in the act of robbing restaurants/bars.

You really think that people that haven't been carrying because they didn't have a permit and it was illegal will all the sudden start committing a bunch of crimes? The people that commit just about all of our violent crime have been carrying all along anyway

If they post no firearms then it needs to be abided.

This is bullshite. These signs do not constitute law. They constitute a request by the establishment. If you don’t do it they can ban you from the establishment but you can’t get arrested for disobeying the sign. I’ve been a CCP holder for years and the only thing those signs do is force me to search harder for an alternative….if one can’t be found I go in anyway.

I'm talking about drunken arguments getting out of hand. Or accidental firing. Or someone drops their gun and it goes off....those sorts of things.

Not trying to say this will lead to well-behaved Joe Blow suddenly deciding to shoot up restaurants

I don’t blame you for asking the OT but I hope you really looked up the laws if you are serious about carrying.

Seriously. Look them up.

Modern firearms don’t go off when dropped…..the trigger has to be pressed.

Idaho looks like a very nice place to live.

Idaho is constitutional carry. And we don't have any of those problems. We also have one of the lowest violent crime rates in the country, while having an extremely high gun ownership rate.
I would that’s mostly due to Idaho’s demographics. Idaho’s population of well well wells is less than 1% of the total population.

Fwiw my son moved to Idaho in 2022. He says it’s surreal compared to living in Louisiana all his life. Loves it.

We'll see in a year from now. I dont think we are going to see a huge uptick in folks carrying and the subsequent issues you mentioned as most that want to carry were already doing so.. legally or illegally.

Kentucky repealed carried conceal in 2019. I know some folks who run CCDW classes. People will still obtain their license if they travel (I believe 20-ish states still require CCDW).

But they aren't all reciprocal right?

If you have been requested to not have a weapon on private property and you refuse for ANY reason other than that you are a law enforcement officer on official duty, they YES you can be forcibly expelled and/or charged with criminal trespass.

Owners and managers of private property have the right to restrict weapons and even to restrict access for any reason they choose with respect to the properties they control.

How very odd.

ETA: Idaho is fourth in gun ownership, behind Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. Also places with very little violent crime.

I would also assume the population of Idaho is less retarded than the population of Louisiana.

Constitutional carry states don't limit it to residents. There are 29 states so far that have Constitutional carry.

She was saying that people will still get a CCW because of travel, my point was that not all CCWs are respected in every state.

True that, I misread it.

But she needs to know that constitutional carry isnt just limited to your home state.

What’s scarier? A diverse person expressing their culture

That depends. If their culture is getting into public arguments and then shooting blindly into a crowd, that's pretty damn scary.
