No. Where do you see that?

Oh, I see now.
No, I wasnt posting that in specific response to your reference of Australia. It was more general. I was attempting to demonstrate that firearm laws have no correlation to reducing mass killings. Doesnt matter if its Australia or some other country with similar laws like many that rank far ahead of the US on that list.

Yeah, I am completely aware of this, but did you read the rest of my post.
When you know someone is nuttier than a fruitcake there should be laws in place that doesn't allow these people, who have legit mental problems, to be able to easily access guns. What is hard to understand about this?
The waffle house shooter had his guns confiscated by police. He thought Taylor Swift was stalking him at one point in his life. He always claimed people were barking at him like a dog, etc. The guns were returned to his dad. When his dad made the decision to move, he returned the guns back to his son.
Do you not see how some common sense could have prevented him from taking 4 people's lives?

I am 100% for common sense gun legislation.
We can start with the repeal of the 1934 NFA.

What’s your point? Because Australia isn’t on that list. So their death rate is so low it doesn’t make the list.
Now I see your point. Australia has a much lower death rate by mass public shootings than at least 18 other countries.
No. Im asking you. What YOUR point?
That firearm confiscation reduces mass casualty? Because there are many countries on that list that would refute that. Countries with laws similar to Australias and yet have more mass death than the US.
So I ask you. Whats your point? Because correlation obviously doesnt imply causation. Obviously there are other factors to consider when attempting to reduce mass murder but many refuse to take a deeper look.
As smart as Im sure some of you are, until youre willing to dig a little deeper in these discussions gun owners are just going to assume yall are, at best, being disingenuous and at worst, trying to disarm those that you disagree with.

Sound suppressors are unregulated in many countries. I've never seen any material detailing why a device that lowers sound levels to the 140 decibel range should be banned.

I did . I always do. And I answered it.
So did you read the rest of MY posts?

Not hard at all. Believe me. I understand you. And youre wrong. Youre making this out to be a simple problem with a simple solution. Its not.

"One mans common sense may be another mans nonsense".
Do you think you have a monopoly on morality and good judgement? Maybe his father thought his son was sane. Maybe there are thousands of people just like his son that are "nuttier than fruitcake" and never harm a soul.
I have several people in my family that would or are considered legally insane. All but one would never hurt a fly. I have some sane ones that Im not too sure about.
BTW, We have tried to get that dangerous family member help for years and there is no support for it in LA. So you are preaching to the choir here.
Its the standard we use in determining what constitutes a "sane" person that many are going to argue about and Im telling you its not that simple.

Let’s compare the homicide by firearm rate in both countries and see how that comes out.

aborigines
Do you actually know what that word means? Let's assume you do, tell me how the Native American population will affect the homicide by firearm rate in this country.

You understood his point just fine.
Or are you dense?
What he was referring to is exactly the kind of factors that arent controlled for in these graphs and statistics.
Murder is illegal, we still have murder.
Robbery is illegal, we still have robbery.
Alcohol used to be illegal, we still had alcohol.
Drugs are illegal, we still have drugs.
Guns are illegal, ________________.
Fill in the blank

Again, I direct everyones attention to this example...
Do Fewer Guns In A Country Mean Fewer Homicides Will Happen?
In your own words, explain that.

And whats your point?
If I said that swimming pool #1 has 20 shark attacks per second but there are 10,000 people in the swimming pool and swimming pool #2 has only 2 shark attacks per second but there are 3 people in the pool.
Which pool do you want me me to push you in?
