I am frankly amazed that the OT has not instructed you to walk into his office and do some Alpha action like pissing on his desk. What is wrong with the board today?

Ask him if he's unsatisfied with you finishing too quickly, tell him you won't finish as quick on his wife.

That's all I've got.

What kid of job are you "given tasks" and asking for work. Most professionals don't have to do that shite.

The guy has been giving me jobs that I could finish very quickly, but he's telling me that it should take a while to complete these tasks. He told me not to rush, but I'm not rushing and I'm still finishing my stuff pretty damn quick. When I do finish he usually gives me meaningless work. Should I just drag arse all day or finish it and do meaningless work all day?

Sounds like you're in a 6th-grade math class.

You should definitely walk in to his office and piss on his desk.

I'll never put another person down for having a job. No one deserves to be made to feel like shite for working when there are people in the world who refuse to support themselves.

I'm a guy, he's wanted an assistant that he could teach law too before he retires. I've had other jobs. So I'm not new to work.

Do your work as quickly as possible if you are at a company that might promote you.

So you're told you work too efficiently and to slow down.

Sounds like 90% of government agencies.

That's great, but is your work correct?

People don't care about this anymore. As long as Excel spits out a number they're good.

I'm constantly in shock by the number of people who don't print a hardcopy and proof their work. Nope, straight to the pdf and email.

You are a moron. The trees used in paper are grown by companies like GP and IP in the most environmentally sustainable way possible.

Please do a little research before spouting off stupid opinions that are not supported by facts.

Even though I don't work at a fast food place I'll take this one. If you were successful, you wouldn't be regularly eating at any fast food place.
