So how did LSU avoid the huge budget cuts that were proposed?

Also, they would only have been a small portion (like 3%) of the universities' operative budget. So all of that crap about furloughing professors and all was a load of crap pitched to get people riled up.

I'm reading the legislative budget recommendation and am trying to wrap my head around why they even did that in the first place. they knew it wouldn't fly.
