We could land on a spot the size of a tool shed on the moon but we needed the Pacific Ocean to land on to come back. Yea. Im buying that.
If we didn't go to the moon, why weren't the Russians, in the heat of the space race, telling the whole world we were lying?

Incredible deflection.
That number is a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percentage of the people that would need to be involved in running a “one world government” deep enough to fake things like the entire GPS satellite system.
Would love for one of you loonies to explain Starlink to the class.
Or, you know, a curved horizon.

the idiots you're speaking to, also think the nebulae etc are fantastically colorful. shhh, dont tell them that is after-effects added to juice up a taxpaying population of sheep.

why haven't they sent men to the moon?
Essentially every nation with a space program is planning to do so over the next couple of decades.

So do I have this straight; please correct my facts
I grew up watching my dad plotting Saturn 1B trajectories with a sliderule. He'd talk about the engineering, mathematics, and physics involved in each of the moon missions, but the best part was getting each mission "patch." Those were so cool!
In 1969, I was a little guy. But when Apollo 11 landed, man that was a special day!
That night, the moonwalk was supposed to come off around bedtime. But it got delayed. The next day was a school day. My folks let me stay up late to watch magical grainy, glitchy B&W TV images.
When Armstrong stepped on the moon ... no words!
As soon as Aldrin stepped down, I ran outside and looked at the moon. It was a crescent. I can remember lamenting if I could have seen the whole moon, maybe the astronauts would see me waving. LOL. Ah, to be a kid again. That was a special day, a special time.

TIL that the adults in charge in the 60s had the attn span of the tiktok generation.
your colloquial "they lost interest" is even more absurd when you realize they had a grand total of 1-3 tv stations to distract them from LANDING ON THE FREAKIN MOON. Because spinning dust-flying rover wheels just can not compete with black and white images of Opie Taylor finding a bird in a tree.

From time to time my great uncle claims to have stocked the hospitality room for the crew filming in the studio and hes just a good ole boy who never meant no harm to no one so I don't see why he'd lie

Lies.
They trusted your great grand pappy with that cover up?
The threads in this thread remind me of the stupidity running rampant on social media.

Yea. Im buying that.
As a kid in Slidell, I can remember playing football in the backyard when there was a huge rumble. The ground shook. They were testing one of the Saturn V's four F-1 engines, 20miles away, in Mississippi. It was something we'd eventually get used to ... like riding bikes in the plumes of mosquito trucks

Obviously those are fakes.
In fact how can we even prove the moon is real? If I don't understand the science, there is no reason to believe it is real, and I have a public education in Louisiana.

@Tuscaloosa - what bout dem horizons
how many times you gonna type the same thing.
Thank you, curved horizon scientist, for distilling it all down to one item we can understands. we are so thankful and appreciative of the break from out usual useless brain meanderings.
now, go spend the rest of your week learning that the inside of a fish tank isn't a mirror, and that you really can see the exact same fish in 2 different locations when you look at a certain angle at a fish tank. report back here with 1-phrase responses so that we know you've read volumes and have deep understanding and that you are, again, kindly summarizing it for us dumdums.

With 3 stations, how many times would you want to see Evel Knievel jump 10 buses after doing it once and setting the 'world record'? It's no less dangerous in the repeats, but ... you know ... we've seen that movie too.

So you can’t explain a curved horizon? That was a genuine question - just looking for an explanation other than the Earth being spherical, which you guys deny.
How about the GPS satellite system?
