Because it’s a popular topic, many people think dicks are being cut off and pussies are being sewn shut by the thousands. The truth is that the vast majority of transgenders don’t completely transition because of the pain, the expense and the unreliability of results.
It is a mental health issue because it’s a brain defect. Changing the body to match the mind is not working. More research needs to be conducted in the area of correcting the brain defect so that the mind matches the body.

Valid question. But I knew from very early on when I was a kid, so there wasn’t this weird “well am I?” phase.
Detrans in the past was a very rare thing given the amount of effort one had to go through to even get on HRT (hormones). My opinion is that you see it MUCH more in the female to male community vs. the male to female. A lot of people in my land can agree that the majority of these folks either didn’t get proper professional mental health and/or they didn’t do ANY research into it, or...they were never trans to begin with.

;) Expense is THE big reason, the other two you listed are non-existent. Fortunately my insurance is phenomenal, but many don’t transition due to the cost associated with transition, get out of the western world and those numbers are massive.

A lot of her hate from other trans is jealousy IMO because as you said she is passable.
FYI she "shits" on the trans movement because she sees that a lot of the encouragement of it is toxic. Even as a trans person I think you could agree with that sentiment. The more it is encouraged and pushed upon younger and younger people, the more we will be dealing with people that regret it. If you think trans have a high rate of suicide now just keep encouraging young undeveloped minds to think they are trans. That is her biggest issue and she has said so often.
She also has stood up for straight people that refuse to sleep with trans people. Again, just common sensee stuff that she gets hate for.

I would agree a bit. I think the floodgates opened a bit too much. I hate to be a supporter of gate-keeping, but the problem is a lot of people feeding the “you’re trans” bs without actually seeing a mental health professional. It’s the “oh you can be trans without have gender dyphoria” that honks me off. I get so mad at those folks because gender dysphoria is literally THE medical condition that defines transsexualism.
