This thread is still going on?
The media won't be creating sob stories about the people that need to de-transition even though it's a real tragedy.
They aren't going to cover the female athletes who are uncomfortable competing with much larger, much stronger males.
They will, on the other hand, cover the "brave" 10 year olds whose attention whore parents encouraged to transition. Especially if they live in a red state.

Until that 10 year old grows up and realizes he was a victim of child abuse and wants to go back. Then they'll act like they never knew he existed.
It's just like women who have abortions. A large majority have deep regrets. The media ignores this.

Yes. However, I'd be surprised they ever touch that subject again after the backlash they received.

Thats really unfortunate.
From what Ive read those that regret transitioning are still in small minority but its still a devastating situation and I could see where we might very well see a sharp increase of that rate in the coming years. It needs to be discussed openly along with other trans issues or that community is going to get hit back with a huge backlash at some point.

See: David Reimer
quote:
David Reimer (born Bruce Peter Reimer; 22 August 1965 – 4 May 2004) was a Canadian man born male but raised as a girl following medical advice and intervention after his penis was severely injured during a botched circumcision in infancy.[2]
The psychologist John Money oversaw the case and reported the reassignment as successful and as evidence that gender identity is primarily learned. The academic sexologist Milton Diamond later reported that Reimer's realization that he was not a girl crystallized between the ages of 9 and 11 years[3] and he transitioned to living as a male at age 15. Well known in medical circles for years anonymously as the "John/Joan" case, Reimer later went public with his story to help discourage similar medical practices. He committed suicide after suffering severe depression.[4]
The brunt of "gender role" rhetoric comes from Money's "research" yet his research ultimately proves flawed as Reimer eventually rejected this attempt at being given a false narrative on his biology then committed suicide after going public against such practices as what was done to him.
