We don’t refer to ourselves like that, nor does she use that term. For a long time, after I came out, I was going to be on my own. One day, she sat me down and asked me if I wanted to stay. Which I did.
Our love is complex, but it doesn’t fit neatly into a box. That love has grown and morphed over the years. We talk about our future all the time. Where we want to retire, etc.
We are one of the very few couples that may survive this. We are one of the lucky ones.

And crossfressing and drag have a long-standing tradition in comedy and the theater.
Because we all KNOW that putting on a dress and a wig doesn’t make a man a woman any more than putting our underwear outside our pants and donning a cape makes us Superman.
That’s why it’s funny.
That’s where the humor is in bits like Blackadder where General Melchett falls for “Georgina” because he thinks she’s beautiful.
And then gets up in arms when they use a real woman for the drag show.
(Which is even funnier considering Fry is a gay man.)

If his wife stuck around with him cutting off his Johnson, then he isn’t the only one with mental illness. That poor woman gets embarrassed then just straight up sticks around. Her poor mind must be egg beaten at this point.

The singer from Against Me came out as trans and his wife stayed with him. I was honestly more surprised by that than I was by his being trans but people and relationships are complex so

Laura Jane Grace is pretty rad. I need to read her book at some point. My brother did when I first began my transition.
