Probably one of the kindest people I know. The GM came from Bulldog and is awesome. The wait staff didn’t just appear out of the ether. They came from other industry spots I’m sure you enjoy.
I can’t fathom how someone can feel “not welcomed” at Merchant

If only their bartenders didn’t add extra drinks to a tab so often, I would be upset by this news. I still frequent the place but now I only pay in cash.
Also, they had a door guy a few months back that was a complete tool. He was trying to start fights with people who were trying to enter the establishment. I’m not sure he is still employed by them anymore though. I give Ivar’s a 3 out of 5.

I went to ZeeZees all the time. I remember one regular being so obnoxious and wasted all the time that he would say disgusting things/grab my thigh regularly.. and often fell off his barstool.

Ha - Zee Zees turned into a total dump at the end. The owners would never fix the toilets and the place reeked like hell. Its so funny to hear how people think that was great. That bar started as a real pick up place and social scene, and ended up with a few drunks who probably hadn't showered in a few days.

I used to live behind Ivar's. I hate that place with a passion, and have only stepped foot in there once.

If he identified with the last few years ZeeZees PBR crowd right before it closed, perhaps he should try the BYOB sofa lounge under the overpass for real character and authentic grit.

Oh man! Are they ever bad about that! They are some straight up thieves. Part of the reason we quit going there so much. I'd always have to have it out with the bar tender about my tab.
