Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District officials said they voted at the LSED’s monthly meeting to pause proceedings on a plan that could determine the fate of the New Orleans Pelicans’ home.
The Saints have not paid their share of Caesars Superdome upgrades since December, said Evan Holmes, general manager of ASM Global, the company that manages the Superdome for the state. The outstanding amount the Saints owe is $11.5 million, LSED officials said.
“We talked about moving forward with that,” LSED chairman Robert Vosbein said. “But with the events transpiring with the Superdome and the financial and cash-flow issues, as a fiduciary to the state, the commissioners who are to manage and maintain these facilities, I don’t think we can go forward with the development of the master plan until these financial issues are resolved. We will be tabling that part of it.”

Saints made a statement that this isn’t true. They are withholding payment because the LSED won’t provide them with some documentation they are requesting related to the costs.

She's been requesting documents for 5 months and lsed refuses to issue them.
The saints have stated that they will pay the invoice and the amounts due on time once the lsed starts communicating with the saints

“Some documentation” is so vague, and there is zero context as to what they are referring to. It appears to just be whatever excuse they could come up with to save face and have some type of response to this news. I’m surprised this is the best they could come up with, since these bills have not been paid for several months, and I’m sure issues were being raised with it privately and they knew it would rear its ugly public head at some point.

Why would they move when they're profiting money every year? Even the worse teams in each professional league profit money. Plus, she doesn't want to leave New Orleans
