Guys like you are part of the problem. You love the Louisiana Inferiority Complex....you revel in it and and it serves as a convenient blanket to wrap yourself in when you fail......" well. wahddya expect, dude, I'm in Louisiana."

People want to move to North Dallas. It's weird to me as well, but true.

How is it weird? There’s no “bad part of town,” no “culcha,” amenities everywhere, great school districts, etc. It’s extremely attractive to the type of employees these companies want to hire.

I’m not part of any problem. I left that shithole. Now I just visit when I want then go back to the nice side of the border.

It's all fake. It's nice, sure.

I have friends in Dallas, Ft Worth, Roanoke, McKinney, Frisco. I've stayed in all of their houses/apartments.

You sit in traffic and then retire to your 400K house with a media center where you don't know any neighbors and don't really do anything because you are so tired from sitting in all that traffic.

Some people enjoy that. It's weird to me.

No. I’m pretty sure it’s bc they’re scared of culture

Black ppl says everything bad is due to race

White people say everything bad has to do with culture

Both sides blame race as the cause for everything when in actuality it is the common LA citizen being undereducated and overly biased towards their line of thinking that has lead us down the path to being "just a little better than MS"

If you work downtown and can’t afford anything but the suburbs.

Plano is full of these corporate HQs so there’s plenty of work in the burbs if you live up there. I wouldn’t be caught dead living up there and working down in Dallas. frick all that traffic.

But these companies are relocating to Plano, Irving, Richardson, etc. which have a ton of those $400k houses close to work with all the amenities I listed before. It’s extremely enticing for families with school aged kids.

Good riddance. Chains are not welcome in this area. Any establishment with multiple locations is garbage.

I think yo nailed it and we like to continue to use race/culcha as the warm comforting blanket that assuages us from our shortcomings and acts as a convenient excuse for doing absolutely nothing as a state....unless oil is at 75.00 / barrel.....then we talk about how great things are and ....still do nothing

I have a 15 minute drive to work. What is all this “just sit in traffic” drivel?

It’s cookie cutter for sure...but it’s super nice, easy living that is affordable and has great infrastructure. North Dallas hits on all the things the vast majority of adults need to live a prosperous life. And, they don’t have to struggle to find it.

Are people supposed to delude themselves? Louisiana is the fricking a-hole of America. It's bass ackwards, corrupt, and the bottom of the barrel in pretty much everything but cooking.
