Pack a day smoker for 40 years until 3 years ago.
I remember being in Chicago for Christmas one year. I was staying at an old hotel that had steam radiators in the room that really got the place sweltering. It was 10 degrees with a 0 degree wind chill outside when I stepped out in a pullover sweater to have a smoke. I figured I would stay warm enough in the 10 minutes it would take me to have a smoke.
It was fine, the air was cold, but dry. That's when a man walked up to me and asked me if I had any change. I told him I didn't bring anything down with me but cigs and a light, and I offered him a couple. He took them, and a light gratefully and we just chatted for a bit. When I shook his had to go, I had to look down because I thought I had grabbed a rock. Literally. His bare hand had no give or warmth to it. I hope he found a warm grate to sleep over that night, but I sure wondered.
A couple of days later and a front backed up bringing with it rain and 33 degrees. I couldn't get warm. It was more miserable than the cold dry air.
frick smoking cigarettes, I'll never have to do it again.

I normally just put the brisket on and then come right back inside. I do usually have to add pellets a couple of times because it goes through them a little quicker.

At my age-----guess I'm in it for the long haul. I'm 72 and she's 66 and when we met almost 30 years ago, we both smoked. I quit when I hit age 50 as did she, but she only lasted a couple weeks and went back to smoking.
I haven't had a single puff of tobacco since I went cold turkey 22 years ago this year.
I have made my feeling known and have told her that if I were a single man today and we are first meeting, I'd not even consider dating her because of her cigarette habit, so she knows how I feel about it.
We all have faults and she looks past mine, so I'll do the same and hope that someday she sees the light--------------before it's too late and it's the cancer train running down the tunnel heading right at her.

My cousin said he stood outside and smoked a joint

Doing it right now while I make some yellow snow.
Also smoked a joint earlier while walking around the yard because it's cool as hell.
Why?

It's 10 degrees right now and I'm sitting in my porch recliner having a cigar before bed. Somehow the cold air makes it taste better
