I hope you get angry like that for every person that gets killed in New Orleans, and not just when it happens to a famous person.

It's all so Johnnie Cochran-ish.

I know it is coming from the father but wow if true.

I've only lurked this thread, but go read her posts, bencokeman's and chadboy's. They represent the most unobjective posts I've read on this topic thus far, and are blinded by black and gold fanboism.

bencokeman looks like he wants to commit violence in posters in this thread.

possibly drinking and driving

definitely hit and run

getting out of his vehicle, being a loudmouth, and threatening with a weapon

Seems very unlikely he shot the wife like the father said. He would have had to lean over Smiths body and shoot her in her right leg. Seems odd

I have personally been dealt one murder. A friend of mine was shot/killed in Baton Rouge 2 1/2 years ago.

Yes I get angry when I hear about all of this murder crap that no one wants to do anything about.

If this is even partly true. What kind of animal could do that?

Sorry cupcake, if you're talking about me, I'm not a fan of pro sports.

The only blindness I have is purple and gold.

I used to be proud to say I'm from NOLA and Louisiana. Now, not so much. The Landrieus, Piyush, all the murders and violence are taking their toll.

This man, Will Smith, and many of his teammates have done great charitable things for the City of New Orleans. April 9th is how they paid him back. Unstable people, and yes, I think the Shooter is unstable, should not possess guns.

It breaks my heart that this man, Will Smith, moved here, embraced New Orleans as his home and now his wife and 3 children don't have a husband and father. His dad, Will Sr., doesn't have his Will, Jr.

I have been to "Nights Out Against Crime" and it has not made an impact on this thug infested city.

My cousins got held up 3 or 4 blocks from where Will Smith died. My cousin's wife got beat up in front of her house near Coliseum Square which is the same general area as the Smith murder.

It's just sickening.

I'll get off my soapbox now.

What it is is similar to many of these "stand your ground" defenses where unarmed people get shot because they made somebody nervous. The difference being in the other cases the shooter, not victim, is the upstanding citizen.

Can anyone explain why no casings were found at the scene? Heard that on the news last night and thought I'd misunderstood but heard the same report this am.
