All parks closed for another month. What medical system do they think they are about to overwhelm?

“All city facilities remain closed to the public including Slidell City Hall, the Slidell Municipal Auditorium, the Slidell Municipal Airport terminal, the Slidell Cultural Center at City Hall, the Slidell Museum and Slidell Mardi Gras Museum, city offices, city conference and meeting rooms, city gymnasiums, city restroom facilities, and city parks including John Slidell Park, Heritage Park, Fritchie Park, Possum Hollow Park, and neighborhood parks.“

Well of course. You don't actually think government jobs would be impacted by all of this do you?

Either that, or this qualifies them to stay on that federal unemployment tit a little longer.

I would love for someone to investigate the use of city owned vehicles during the shutdown

Slidell should extend it forever. Slidell is an absolute shithole where dreams go to die.

While there are other entire parishes going against Dumb Bel Edwards rules, and opening up. I'm sure SWB, Latoya the destra will be in lockstep with JBE.

What I'm waiting to see is mayors of individual mayors within some parishes try and open up reguardless.

Good thing I live just outside the city limits of the Slidell metroplex. Whew, that was a close one.
