Not a lot of fun. I did it for 3 nights last year when my wife had surgery. I slept on a couch in the room. Not too bad but I was woke up about every two hours when they came in to check on her. At least I had some children that would relieve me during the day so I could go home SSS and get some thing to eat.

All good, they made her stay overnight because of her Parkinson’s. Her oxygen saturation was low so they are keeping an eye on her

Spent two weeks in her with her when my youngest son was born. She had preeclampsia and he was 10 weeks early.

Good man

Me and my dad would take turns when my mom was at MD Anderson during her treatments and stem cell stuff. It really does mean a lot having that comfort there.

We had a 2 bed room suite with a kitchenette at St Joseph in Houston. Worked well for me

Why are you at the hospital?

Wife is

Well then...that's easy. Keep a bottle of whiskey in your truck, and go out every now and then...refill a smaller bottle that you keep in the room with you...and sip the frick out of that. That's what I always do. My wife has some issues that puts her in the hospital every couple years...they don't check your bags. I sneak her a few bites of bk or whatever, and I sneak me some shots...still shitty sleeping...but when they come in for breathing treatment every 4 frickin hours...I can go back to sleep quickly.

I was in the hospital in May. They came in and checked my vital signs at midnight and four am. Drew blood at five am. The Med Student came in at 5:30, then the resident came in at six. So, yeah. Not much sleep at all. Hope your wife feels better OP.

People in the hospital don't really get well. They just say they feel good so they can get home and get some rest.

No shite.

The OP is complaining about sleeping at the hospital and he isn’t even the patient, but his wife that just had hysterectomy surgery and is hooked up to wires and IV’s, will be woken up every 2 hours has to lay there in a hospital bed.

OP you’re an a-hole

The pull-out chair thingy sucked. The couch thingy was much better. 3 kids born there at the old one. I knew that joint well.
