Sorry, but this is not correct. The Berlin got a resurgence after Kramnik used it as a drawing weapon against Kasparov in their 2000 match and it's been popular at the highest level ever since.
Alphazero actually wound up settling on the Caro Kann.

I thought it was interesting in the Alpha Go documentary that the computer played different from humans in that it didn't try to win by going for the biggest win it could get, it played for just enough to barely win.

Why would a robot have much interest in lying. This won't end well for humanity that lies. AI won't fall sway to emotions. This will end well for the good of humanity. People who do evil (unjust) for power will not like it of course. I imagine the standard of living for first world will go down a notch (at least temporarily) because our standard often comes at the expense of the third. It doesn't have to, but greatest profit margins say that is currently the most efficient way.

This will be essentially an alien intelligence. No one knows how it will behave or how it will percieve humans. Its fear of the unknown but in this case the fear is legit.
