I am not sure why Saint George is such a problem for people. If people want to get together and run their own lives and build a city, that is what this country is built on.
The leech is about to have to find a new host and there are no other hosts to be found.

Welp, it’s official, Skip is senile.
That's what I was thinking. He brain was on its way out last time I ran into him about 5 years ago.
Good thing this won't ruin his legacy here, he obviously has no idea what's going on.

Look what we are paying the mayor to do while she's at work
Posted on 10/3/19 at 6:04 pm to LSUTigerFan247
Is that even legal for her to advertise that, in her position?
Posted on 10/3/19 at 6:06 pm to Modern
Rules don’t apply anymore in BR.

Slander now and deal with it after the election then

How the frick is it legal for the parish president to rally people against an incorporation effort within her parish?
Posted on 10/3/19 at 9:13 pm to LSUTigerFan247
That’s about as unethical as it gets
Posted on 10/3/19 at 9:41 pm to Modern
she's blatantly slapping all of the St. George constituents in the face. She seems to forget that she represents the entire parish. Not just people within the city limits of Baton Rouge.

I think it's been obvious since she took office, she has no cares for anyone with pale faces.

Screw them idiots. Go back to coaching baseball
Posted on 10/3/19 at 10:49 pm to Areddishfish
Skip I don’t go to you for politics
I don’t go to politicians for baseball.
So STFU. StG is none of your fricking business if you don’t live there. Even if you do, you haven’t done your homework.

Are any of the in process and a few years away flood projects she lists something Parish wouldn’t be a part of regardless of incorporation? Is this just more scare tactics? It almost comes across as a threat, but it’s seems like stuff that parish would be doing anyway on top of just being in progress which anyone can say & no more of a guarantee than she accusing SG of not offering.
Also it’s strange that when I click on her FB links to Advocate articles I never get the warning that I need to log in first like I usually do.

There is too much false information about drainage. Here are the facts:
There is zero guarantee from St. George organizers that the proposed city will provide adequate drainage services for citizens.
An independent LSU study shows a rise in temperatures in the Gulf of Mexico is causing more intense rain showers, a major factor in our drainage situation (see link below). When St. George organizers deny this truth, they are ignoring hard facts and evidence. The reality is our drainage has not kept up with climate change or our growth. As someone who flooded in 2016, drainage is an extremely important issue to me and the entire parish.
So what are we doing about it? Since 2016, we've made big changes: -Stricter drainage codes for new developments. -Nearly $650 million in drainage projects underway including the Comite River Diversion Canal and the 5 Tributary Flood Project. -A Storm Water Master Plan in progress.
These projects will take a few years, but they will be a game changer. Help is on the way! In the meantime, let's work together on short-term solutions.
Water knows no boundaries, and divided resources won't make the problem easier to address. Let's fight this together. Say yes to ONE Baton Rouge.

At this point I hope St. George passes with 99% just to give a big frick YOU to all of the pieces of shite in BR who have slandered it and tried to deny these people their right to vote. I don’t even care if St. George is that much better than BR, I just want BR to get fricked.

here is no unity from north baton rouge. They want white people in chains.
This is very true. I think most of SBR forgets or doesn't realize just how close the ghetto is to their residences and way of life. NBR doesn't want their jobs. They're not contributing shite to the parish coffers and take more and more from it. I don't live in BR anymore but I did when the CATS tax passed and I look at this in a similar way. No one in SBR uses CATS. None. But it's paid for by property taxes, mostly from SBR. THings like that are infuriating, I can only imagine how a parent feels that works 50 hours a week and lives a very meager life and has to try to figure out a way to pay $10k to send their child (God forbid, childREN) to Parkview. I couldn't do it. I'd have to move to Central or Denham. The same people that are saying they're against St. George probably were against CATS too but now they're not on the right side of the argument.
People should vote for what's best for them and their children. Let the chips fall where they may. This is America, after all.
Oh, and frick the Advocate. It's a shell of what it used to be. I'm really starting to have an unhealthy hate for the organization and it's slanted and biased so called 'reporting' on the St. George issue is just a small part of it. As much as they are against it now, I bet they'll still be trying to push sales in those racist St. George areas after the election like none of this ever happened.
They need to get the Delgado treatment. That loser has been irrelevant ever since he made his ridiculous statement on this exact issue a few years ago. He's been viewed as a clown ever since and he deserves it. Whatever happens with the election, that side of the parish needs to remember the true views of The Advocate. Remember how they are portraying you right now. I wouldn't spend a cent on their rag in any form ever again if I lived in SBR.

I want St. George to happen, but I don't want it to destroy the city where I grew up, where my parents still live, and that I still have a great fondness for. There are plenty of good people that live in Baton Rouge that hate Broome and her cronies, unfortunately they are outnumbered by the block vote in North BR.
It's sort of surreal that for Baton Rouge to survive Broome's administration, St. George must become a reality. Either way, Broome loses, because if the St. George resolution fails, she loses a big chunk of her tax base anyway when white flight to Ascension and Livingston parishes increases, and it will.

I agree with everything you posted 100%. My family still lives there and I do hope the best for the city and parish when all is said and done. I see both sides of the argument.
