Sjw family member told me “EBT users pay taxes the same as you and me”

Because when they buy something, the sales tax is taken out of their EBT account. By this rationale, she argues that they’re paying taxes...
I tried explaining that it’s money they receive for free and that sales tax being taken out does not mean they are paying ANYTHING... it’s still free money, that they get from tax payers for doing nothing.
I am surprised by mankind every single day. How is it possible for someone that stupid?

Actually...most stores actually don't charge tax with the EBT groceries.
So while you pay 1.09 for your 1.00 chips, they only pay 1.00

People complain about social services on here but mostly they go to benefit children. You ought to see the smiles on my kids faces when I whip out the ebt and tell them we're going out for boiled crawfish. They can barely load up in the escalade fast enough!
