I've often wondered how much money I could raise, if I decided to run a marathon In the name off "raising awareness for the LGBTQ community" (or some bs like that) claiming that funds would go towards the education of their cause. Maybe start a gofundme page etc. And paste it all over Twitter, tumblr etc.
I would then like to know the backlash when I use those funds to pay for a 4 week holiday around the world claiming it is so I can get a better understanding of the plight people face across the globe when I actually just have a great holiday.
Could you be prosecuted? Or just have to close said Twitter account?
