They did the same thing at O’Hara when I flew back yesterday. Even had dogs sniffing around everyone’s bags

Makes you wonder what they know

They know that many people in this country are scared the milk is about to run dry on their government tit, and the “leaders” these people vote for are telling them to fight to the death in the streets.

So you think a swabbing and pat down for a flight from Baltimore to New Orleans the day before the Super Bowl is just a random event?

No, did I say that?

But it’s not unprecedented or “they know something” as has been claimed.

They do these sorts of searches randomly all the time. If you ever see 3-4 tsa agents pushing a cart through the terminal, that’s where they are going or coming from.

With what’s going on in NO, it’s going to happen a lot more as a show of force.

During the Vietnam war, a bunch of hippie protestors declared that they were going to "storm the gate at Kaneohe MCAS." On the bus trip home from school, we drove by the protestors as we headed home (we lived on the base). They sentry gate had the normal complement of a few Marines, each packing .45 autos. Everything looked normal and uninterested in teh approaching protestors.

As we went through the gate and looked back, there was a large group of fully equipped Marines who looked like they could whip arse. Later, Dad told me that they had just returned from Vietnam a week or two before. The protestors would not know they were there.

The protestors arrived at the gate, didn't get the overreaction they wanted, and made no effort to do anything to get inside the base.

Dude people here - and especially on the PT - have zero reading comprehension abilities. They have their mind made up about what others here are trying to say and latch onto that imaginary narrative. frick what’s actually said.

trashy is the BWI to ATL route. BWI was about 15 minutes from my daughters apt, so it was super convenient and fast, but......still trashy.

The first comment to that video was "Who pays for this?"

There may be a small amount of fed money involved, but that is Guard not regular army so Louisianians are paying the vast majority of it.

You haven't seen trashy until you've flown the Jxn, MS to ATL route.
Nothing beats MEM-GTR-ATL. That was an absolute shitshow.

I got into BWI every year for a Ravens Game and think it's pretty nice. (I will admit watching a waitress brush off the sighting of a rodent running towards the La Cocina kitchen was mind boggling.) Even so, BUF and TPA are arse in comparison. ORD is a mess while they've been building out their new international terminal. I'm a bit partial to IND's new airport. Old enough to have everything running smoothly but new enough to have things today's traveler needs. I flew into DEN last fall and thought it was ATL lite.

The Southwest /r this week has been full of posts like the OP's. I think the Super Bowl has pushed them to step up security but I also think it involving Philly Degenerates has them doing the checks right at the gates. I don't it would be this right if it was Detroit or LA.
