I'm off tomorrow. First time ever, but now it's a federally recognized holiday so it trickled down.

I did some work at a predominantly black daycare last week. They had a sign up that said "closed for Juneteenth holiday". Some black moms that have to work are going to hate this holiday lol.

Nice to have Mem Day in May, Juneteenth in June, Fourth of July in July, and then Labor Day to cap summer.

I do.

Of course, my company is based on the land of fruits and nuts (CA), so I’d expect nothing less. Hell, we had it off last year and it wasn’t a federal holiday then.
