Damn, I was just jamming to some of his stuff last night on one of my playlists. Feels like a part of my childhood has died seeing that he has passed.

To the casual fan he may not have had a long list of hits, but he has several songs that are all time greats. Bat Out of Hell was a little before my time and it always surprised me that is was such a mega-hit album, but I always enjoyed the lengthy video with the role playing for Paradise by the Dashboard Light in my MTV youth. Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad is my favorite of his - just a powerfully moving and sad song. Incredible voice.
