He literally says it in the chorus.

Once, he did Vh1 Storytellers and he diagrammed the chorus on stage so it would be obvious.

When I was a kid, I didn't know he was a singer/musician for a long time. I first remember seeing him in the old movie Scavenger Hunt as a nasty biker dude.

Also, I think Scott Ian from Anthrax was his son-in-law.

The intro to 'Bat Out of Hell' was the second greatest intro ever (2nd to 'Sweet Jane')

Meatloaf lived a Wild Wild Life.

Meat Loaf in 1987 claimed he once grabbed Prince Andrew and screamed 'I don't give a s*** who you are'

What was funny about Meatloaf is that half the baws here who claim to be "in shape" couldn't come close to doing what he did as a 300lb+ guy night in and night out. You're talking about two hours of being wide assed open and never letting up. He was a hell of a live performer.

He has been in and out of the news for 15 years due to his health problems. Amazing he made it as far as he did.

Bat Out of Hell is one of the all-time great albums. It is a rock opera that tells a story from the first to the last song, and every single one is worth listening to in its own right

It's cold and lonely in the deep dark night. . .

It was a feat. I played 4-hour gigs at 330 before I lost my weight. It sucked. He did have a few near death heart issues while on stage if I remember right.

Great lyrics, though I don't think he actually wrote them.

Jim Steinman wrote the songs on Bat out of Hell among many others. He died last year.

Oh no, we’re having meatloaf for dinner tonight and I’m feeling conflicted about that now.

No, it wasn’t.

C'mon, you know what this is.

Marvin Lee Aday would have appreciated it.
