In his most recent election it's more about what he didn't do. I don't agree with some of the things he's done, shut downs included. But Griby's lap boy Rispone would've decimated Louisiana's rural health care system and scorched local tax bases with the abolition of corporate property taxes. I see the value in allowing a company some level of relief when they're building an industrial facility and not bringing in any revenue. But to say they shouldn't spend a single dime on the strain they put on infrastructure long term only degrades the communities they operate in and puts the burden back on people who's homes are valued at more than $75,000. Further to that, these same people want to allow parishes to charge people who's homes are assessed below $75,000 to pay some property taxes on at lease $15,000 on the value of their home. I don't like the idea of telling billion dollar corporations they don't have to pay anything while telling poor people they should pay something.
Quite honestly, if I were advising JBE on something to have a press conference about, it would be supporting the two Republican Senate candidates in Georgia. The two dem candidates are far and away radicals to JBE.

Why? Hard for me to imagine Jindal in any way destroying the economy of the state in the same way as the current dingbat.

Not a damn thing. Let me do it how the left does it real quick.
Hurricanes hitting Louisiana have increased under JBE as well as violent crime. We’ve lost tons of jobs and unemployment is the highest it’s ever been in Louisiana under JBE. The economy has tanked and the only people getting paid are government workers and his cronies. Now he will be the first governor to cancel Mardi Gras.
But he’s for God and guns so we’re good....such bull shite.

He raised taxes to fix the budget Jindal left. And he expanded Medicaid. Those are pretty much his crowning achievements.
He's been pretty much a terrible governor from a job/economic standpoint though. We've lost (and continue to lose) residents and jobs under his tenure.

I hate to break it to you pal, JBE is just as radical as those two worthless fricks. He's all in with them and supports all of their fantasies.

Yeah, not sure what that poster meant by surplus
It isn’t money
It isn’t jobs
I haven’t seen any updates lately but if he doesn’t get the money to replace the unemployment fund even more businesses will be screwed with the additional payroll tax
We are a very small business looking to expand next year, an additional 30% payroll tax is going to sting

He created a surplus in the state budget by raising taxes. That's pretty much it. A 6 yr old could balance my household budget if they could control how much gets deposited.
Taxpayers are leaving this state. We are among a handful of states that are losing population. That should tell you all you need to know about JBE.

Say what you want, but he cleaned up the shite Piyush left behind.
Just a random thought.. I wonder how someone named Piyush got the nickname "Bobby"?

Quite a few state highways and bridges in north La that have been needing repairs or replacement for decades have finally been done.

He has turned around Louisiana's economy making it one of the fastest-growing states in the US. Our GDP is up and our tax revenues are at historic highs because of his ability to attract new business and investment to Louisiana.

And what exactly would that be ? Don't give me the mess Piyush left. JBE voted for 6 of those 8 budgets and was the floor leader securing votes for those budgets. For him to say he was handed a mess, well he was all in on it. Don't fall for the bullshite, he's been a typical dem governor, tax and spend.

I read a while back that he picked the name Bobby as a kid from watching the Brady bunch. Makes sense if you’re a weird named foreign kid trying to fit in.

I had a friend at LSU who was from Vietnam and his name was very hard to pronounce in English. When he moved here he liked Clint Eastwood movies so he changed his name to Harry. He's a doctor now.
