I got this gem last week at the Marriott Arts in New Orleans. I must admit it, it did reel me in so I left her a fin on a one night stay.

I normally just leave a few ones and change out during my stay, but they never take it. I do hide my toothbrush and never drink out of the glasses during my stay, because.....you know.

I could have used that tip a long time ago.

Goose egg. I'd never even heard of this until it was mentioned on the OT some time back.

I tip Hotel Maids but I put the money right into their hand and look them in their eyes and reach their inner ninõs.

They have to clean up after some pigs.

Leave a tip if you want, but the idea of an employer encouraging that because they don't pay their employees enough annoys me.

Unless it's the DJ at the scrip club reminding you to tip the girls, which is kind of expected.

I never knew it was a thing. I guess it makes sense since they have to clean up my giz Kleenex all over the room.

I've tipped hotel maids for years. Don't consider it unusual at all.

$4-$5 bucks a night.

I leave it with a thank you note.

I usually only have the maid come in every other night or so, or just catch them in the hall to swap out for fresh towels. Don't want them bishes all up in my shite. Generally leave around $5/night on the bed when we check out.

I leave 2-3 dollars for each night. I do wash any glasses I use, or use the individual plastic wrapped ones if available.

To be honest, I don't see the logic in tipping for single night stays or at the end of the stay.

That is not the purpose of tipping.

I leave them daily instruction notes with money ($2-3) on the bathroom counter. Usually tell them not to worry about the bedding for the fist couple of days and just replace the towels I've used.

If I leave things in the fridge, I leave a note telling them where it came from and when I put it in the fridge. Have left notes about pizza, half-and-half, and yogurt.

Never. Hotels can charge me more and pay them a fair wage. I don't get tipped by my clients.

So sick of tipping period. Charge me more up front and pay the damn wage.

I have never tipped at a hotel. That being said, I'm not making them work hard for their money. My room is always spotless, other than towels there is nothing for them to pick up.
