They are doing some really creative things to get those people out of there.
I work on Industriplex - again, they are not gone, they are still around.

Nope. Not the interstate exit ramps.

I recently attended a small meeting with the Coach, he talks quite a bit about to effort his team is putting in to get rid of the bums at intersections. I found out that they are largely not "bums", but organized crime. They have shifts, sell drugs, the most prolific was I-12 and Drusilla, which employed 16-20 "bums".
Sid came in a bit naive, but has transformed himself into a very effective mayor.

Its been way, way better around Bluebonnet and Siegen the last few weeks.
Less homeless/druggies wandering around like zombies and begging for money at intersections.

I see the same guys on the same corners day in and day out holding a cardboard sign. That's not begging, that's a damn job.

He is a good guy, but the siegen and I-10 effort is 100% St. George and EBRSO. They developed a plan and dealt with over 100 people they located panhandling or just sleeping in the area. Some had warrants, some chose to go to The Grove Recovery for treatment and a job, some accepted a bus ticket to the destination of their choice and a couple were listed as missing by family members. They were reunited with those people. The Sheriff still works random 4 hour shifts in the area to continue the work.

St George getting it done.
Today, I noticed a new encampment on Coursey in the wooded area west of the Neighbors credit Union right before you get to Bennys
I’m sure they were drenched this afternoon.

Maybe these guys are available.
The Colombo Beggar Killer (Sri Lanka): Between 2010 and 2011, a serial killer terrorized the pavements of Colombo and its suburbs. The killer explicitly targeted impoverished beggars and panhandlers who were sleeping alone on the streets at night, murdering 13 of them via blunt force trauma to the head.
The "Stoneman" (India): Operating in Mumbai in the mid-1980s, an unidentified serial killer targeted homeless ragpickers and beggars. The killer would track down victims panhandling or sleeping in desolate areas and crush their heads with a heavy stone while they slept

Isn't Sid Woody's puppet? That's what I've been told.
That Woody finally came to the conclusion he had made himself unelectable, so he found the nicest, most well liked guy he could and propped him up to get elected so that he could still wield some influence.
