Anything worth stopping for between these two cities? Me, the bride and an 11 year old. Looking for a way kill some time.

Magnolia is pretty boring. I would just go kick around Hot Springs earlier.

Magnolia has some cool antique shops and bakery that is decent.

The smoking bull in Emerson is also a really good place to eat lunch.

Go pay your respects at Bill Clinton's boyhood home in Hope. Looks like it's about the halfway point.

Cooper Tire manufacturing tour?

There isn't a lot of anything between Shreveport and Hot Springs.

Like a 2.5 hour almost all interstate drive. Tell the wife and little Jimmy to suck it up

We pick up our daughter at 8:00 AM tomorrow. So, we got a hotel for tonight. We have kicked around Hot Springs the last two years, and I was looking for something different to do.

I got nothing on the radar at this point. Might try to see if I can get into 501 prime tonight.

Just go up to Hot Springs and visit Lake Ouchita or the Diamond Mine if you need to kill time before your checkin. Another good place to kill time is Bubba Brews on Lake Hamilton if you don't feel like driving to Lake Ouchita or the Mine.

My (ex) gf and I enjoyed Rolando’s when we visited there about 7 years ago. Ecuadorian food.

Pull up at the D'arbonne Diner in Farmerville and eat a good meal while staring at all the boats on the water. I love that place.

Their smoked turkey sandwich was legit.

Since I-49 has been completed, I haven't been up through Benton to Hope on the Hwy 3/Hwy 27 route in years. Screw Bradley and their speed trap.

We stopped in Texarkana on our way to Hot Springs last year, had dinner at Pecan Point Brewery which was pretty solid, walked around a little in the downtown area, took pics at split state lines running through the courthouse. It was fun to kill a couple hours, it started raining before we could do much else.
