Sounds like the United Daughters of the Confederacy agreed to the settlement (relocating the statue).

From what I understand the city has agreed to protect it from further vandalism while they figure out where to move it to.
It’s all a bunch of BS and everyone knows it. Hopefully it will go to a good home.
