Sad to see a once great city reduced to rubble by the type of people running it now.

Agreed...it's sad.

On the other hand, it does prop up my home value in North Bossier.

Won't do it for very long, the trash is already moving to the east side of the river.

Haynesville is coming back, but nothing like it was around 2008. It's sad what's happening over there.

Same thing that’s happening to Baton Rouge right now.

One thing I've always wondered about is the legality of Shreveport's "Fair Share" program where incentives are made so that minority owned businesses are in an advantageous spot to obtain contracts. How should this program be thought of now that African Americans constitute a majority of Shreveport?

The website you linked to is owned by a legitimate crazy person who would likely be committed if it weren't for his wealth.

Take everything published there with a grain of salt the size of Tiger Stadium.

However, there is a huge nepotism problem in the city government incompetence runs rampant.

There are no sympathetic figures anywhere to be found. Except for me, with my water bill that doubled with no explanation.

‘I don’t know of any relationship with Mr. Braggs with an engineering firm.’

Jerry Harper:
‘Would you answer the question, sir?’

Brian Crawford:
‘No, I wouldn’t find it to be important.’ ”

Deflect, deny, deflect, deny until the bitter end.

Garymyman has a legitimate reason to dislike this guy, but it is causing a biased opinion of him.

I typically do, as a lot of the write ups make me envision a shrill crazy person running around with hand in the air...

Unfortunately the main source of reporting in Shreveport is in City Hall's corner (witness the The Shreveport Times backing the $100MM basketball arena) so one has to get their news where they can and filter it accordingly.
