Long time ago, they used to have the pregame parties at the frat houses. Definitely better that way.

But but but now it's not cool enough because they won't be seen by everyone if they are confined to their frat houses.
Dangerous recommendation F KING!!

So you want to be able to drink at the house but you don't want to be made to drink at the house?
I'm as sick of the leadership at LSU as anyone, but your argument is pretty weak and you don't offer an alternative solution. Surely you can do better than whining about wanting your cake and to eat it too.

So you are whining that irresponsible organizations are having rules placed on them to avoid consequences for those actions?
Here's a thought. Stop getting smashed and learn how to have fun without resorting to it.
Tailgating isn't being moved to the houses because of the binge drinking issue. It's being moved because Greek asshats treat the parade grounds like a dump site and leave their shite everywhere.
Maybe if Greek students would act freaking responsible for once in their young lives, then this shite wouldn't be necessary. This is a consequence of selfish and disrespectful behavior. They have no one to blame for themselves, and I will be sending an email in support of F. King in this issue.

Not really bud. Just bored at work on a Friday (you may be familiar with a company's IT headquarters located in you said it - Collierville) so thanks for giving me this petition to read and laugh at. Bet you thought it was impressive before you posted

he second of the two recommendations is to move all IFC tailgates from the Parade Grounds to individual chapter houses. This presents a problem if LSU is truly trying to make the changes they claim they are trying to make. They are moving tailgating from a centralized, public space that would be easier to supervise and police, to individual, spread out residencies that give the ability to hid possible issues and infractions much more easily. It seems like common sense that a centralized area like the Parade Grounds would be a much better option for the University.
This part makes the least sense, they banned the tailgates at the houses years ago forcing them to move to places like the parade grounds.

Kind of like dry counties/parishes

Hard alcohol has been against the rules at house parties since at least '09. We were forced to hire a private vendor to serve only beer or wine, and hire private security that would "prevent" party-goers from going upstairs into their rooms during the party to stop people from just drinking their own alcohol in their rooms.
This is not new. The tailgating stuff is bringing it back to the way it was. Almost every fraternity used to tailgate at the houses until it was outlawed (that was before my time so someone correct me if I'm wrong).

The first of these recommendations is to Ban Hard Alcohol and Common Source Alcohol from Greek houses and events. While this may seem like a sound recommendation at the surface, it encourages students who choose to drink to binge drink heavily before the events. This sort of binge drinking before an event or party is commonly known as “pre-gaming.” This pre-gaming can lead to serious issues as there is no supervision. Alcohol poisoning and drunk driving are likely to occur as students attempt to make it to these events as a direct result of these regulations. We believe it would be best if F. King Alexander and the task force would consider recanting this recommendation, that way events could continue with hard and common source alcohol, giving the university the ability to supervise and keep students safe.
Geez...the way you guys like to draw a line in the sand on this shite is stupid. This excuse is laughable. It all but shows your shitty self control.
And your other post...’a university that used to be worth going to’...
Wow. So ‘the man’ put some restrictions on your drinking and now the university sucks? Your life is pretty pathetic if that’s a game changer for you. If you want to drink that badly, go to a bar.
