Shouldn’t we forgive people for things said a long time ago?

Shouldn’t there be like a statute of limitations on things said in the past? The Jon Gruden thread got me to thinking about this. He says something in 2011 in an email that may just bite him in the arse today. It was something he shouldn’t have said, but not the worst thing in the world. How can we be so vengeful to hold this against him 10 years later? Why can’t we just forgive each other for mere words?

Depends. Is he is a liberal or a conservative? That's all that matters to the Marxist cancel culturists.

I mean, if you don’t want to carry around extra baggage everywhere and cause problems in your own physical, mental, and personal relationships, yeah. It would probably be a good idea.

Yes, easily. Something someone did 5, 10, 20 years ago in a different time. I mean when stuff happens matters.

Better question: why would someone care about that long ago? What kind of shame is this? Slander. A grudge needs to be dropped, psycho's.

BTW this is an isolated incident. Let the man go. Publicly shaming someone's reputation especially on national level can be considered slander(libel). They will arrest you. Fines and prison depending.

Only Democrats get this luxury. Example Joe Biden wanted to keep schools segregated, lock up blacks for any amount of crack for 5 years no questions asked. Meanwhile trump was getting awards from Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton for helping their communities.

Obama said we shouldn’t forget what the evil Christians did in the Crusades. 900 years ago.

It's amazing that people dig into someone's history to hurt while denying world history.

What he said was true, maybe those finding racism in it are the actual racist.

Since I am a man I’ve never been offended by anything, so there is nothing to forgive.

Remember when Joy Reid from MSNBC had her old blog posts ranting about figs queers and trannies unearthed? She said she "evolved" and that was that. Liberal-evolved. Conservative-racist nazi sexist homophobic transphobic fascist patriarchal toxic masculinity hate speech
