Perp wasn't black, so survey says "yes."
Or does Asian count in the racist column?

No, last I heard Asians were considered privileged because you know they work hard and become successful.

They gave him way too many chances. He never should have been able to get that close to them.

I thought the same thing. Why wasn’t he shot when he charged at the officer that second time? WTF? He never should’ve been able to get to him in the first place.

They were to nice putting thier own lives at risk.
The guy who made the kill shot is a freaking gunslinger.
I want him on my side.

Who in the frick reholsters their pistol in that situation and starts screaming like a bitch about “he has my gun”?
The reason the guy got to the gun in the first place is because the officer didn’t stop the threat and reholstered

How he got so close the second time.
I think the police made the decision to taze him. So when he charged they had tazers in their hand and had to replace the tazer to grab the gun.
Only solution I can see to this is train people to fire tazers with non-dominant hand leaving the dominant hand for the gun.
I have no idea how difficult that would be.

Absolutely agree. Unfortunately, these LEOs are being forced to overthink decisions in life-threatening situations because of the culture we've now created with minorities screaming "racism" any time one of their own is shot and killed in the midst of a crime. It shouldn't be this way. This officer was clearly afraid to pull the trigger any sooner than he did and it nearly cost him his life.

From what I read, it seems he was planning to pull his taser after unloading on him the first time. I don't think he expected the guy to get back up and charge again. This is what happens when you make the officer worry TOO much about killing a violent and clearly threatening perp.

You're an idiot, but I did change it. Not for you, though.

I think LE was a little slow to take care of business. That man should never have been able to overtake the officer. Officer is lucky man didn’t slice him from ear to ear. Wonder what drugs the man was on?

Im pretty sure if the guy was black, he wouldn't have made it that far down that drive way. Probably wouldn't have made it that far from the country club really before getting shot or have gotten asked 10+ times to put the knife down...

I agree with this 100%. You could tell in their voices that it was a situation they did not want to be in because they feel its a lose/lose outcome.

Based on what evidence? Problem is, no incident is exactly the same as another, so this is nothing more than your opinion.
Frankly, if he were black, my guess is it would have been worse just based on how much they didn't want to be involved in a shooting in the first place. Making the perp black automatically makes them the "bad guys." Lose, lose.

The proper protocol would have been for one of them to pull out a taser while the other keep his pistol drawn. Both went to their tasers.
