Should there be an age requirement for bucket drummers in the Quarter?

As I meandered around the Quarter this weekend, I noticed an unusual number of young "tap dancers" and "drummers" performing. I'm talking 3-7 year olds. They had no talent and couldn't hold a beat. It was just simple banging on buckets. I had no clue where their parents were.

Dumb tourists must have been dropping bucks all day into their buckets.

If Mitch wants to limit my stripper's age, I think he should compromise and keep these kids off the streets.

They're just the distraction.

Check your back pocket.

At least show up with some buckets that look like they've been beaten on previously. These buckets were purchased that morning from Lowe's. shite is out of control, and they were blocking pedestrian traffic.

Who are the people in awe of a bucket drummer in 2017?

A "ba dum tsss" seems appropriate given the nature of this thread

When I worked at a hotel down there that used to be one of the most complained about things. The kids would start at 9 in the morning right outside of the windows. Had the police move them down the street at least twice a week.

I saw one pack of at least 10. They were randomly beating on buckets w/o any rhythm. I think I'd prefer to hear two gay baws banging at Oz.

It's better than them holding up people with a gun. Quit being stingy & give the kid a dollar.

Good for you arse. Otherwise there will just be a long receiving line with folks with their hands out expecting a dollar from you just because you wanted to see NOLA.

That's not good for NOLA.

They only come out like roaches during special events anyway. No big deal.

FIFY: No, some of those single moms are fricking incredible at stripping. Don't penalize them because of some poser strippers.

Mom was probably down the street spending money the kids earned. Saw one of these mother-of-the-year nominees yelling at her kid for not earning enough money.
