If the Confederates States of America had won the war, would they would name forts and ships and such after Union Army generals and heroes?
I'm betting there would not be a Fort Sherman or Camp Grant in the CSA.
What makes you say that? Seriously. I think there would be monuments to great men in the north...absolutely.

Not sure what you mean by "in the north." They might build them a monument in the north, but I'm talking about in the confederacy in the south.
I'm saying that there is very little likelihood that a CSA would name a fort after a Yankee general from the army they defeated to gain independence. It would be like George Washington and the newly formed United States naming a fort after a British general.
If you think they would honor Grant and Sherman in the CSA, I disagree.

OK smart guy, then I'm sure you can name a Confederate who was convicted of treason.
I'll be waiting.

The Union was kind and let them all go home. Me? I'd have lined up their leadership, had them all shot, and put them in gibbets throughout the South.
That's what they get for hating Merica so much.

On the list of things I need to worry about on a daily basis, this is pretty low. So my answer would be no.

Absolutely not. Leave it alone.
However, should SJW douche bag piece of shite liberal fricktards be taken out to a large field, have gasoline poured on them and set on fire? Absolutely yes.

If the csa had won, there would be two different countries. As it is, there is one country, and Grant himself said "let us welcome our fellow countrymen home", referring to the defeated southerners.

Good thing you're not in power then, eh? Dumbass.
The reason the government didn't prosecute anyone is because they had no case, it wasn't due to any desire for mercy or forgiveness.
I guess you've not read up on Reconstruction or you wouldn't spout such ill-informed crap.

Dead issue. Been so for about a year or so.

the reason was not because they feared losing the case, the chief justice pleaded with them not to, he knew the south had every right to secede and he knew it could lead to the south winning their independence through the courts.

No, the confederates were every bit Americans as the Union generals, there were just two Americas for those war years. The military honors fighters in the names of their forts. They honor leaders and great strategists. They study great military commanders no matter who they fought for. Robert E. Lee was one of the greatest military minds of the 19th century, and is reauired reading for military strategists in training in practically every professional military.
It is possible to name something after someone honoring their achievements, talents, and character while not admiring their cause or all of the sociopolitical factors that went into it. Robert E. Lee was also an increadible American after the war. He did more to end the violence and bring the country together after the war than probably any other American who lived during that time. He also was a champion for education of freed slaves and for equality of the races. He championed the cause of abolition in the confederacy as well as for the integration of the southern army (and won). His own plantation was given up to create Arlington National Cemetery.

No, they should not rename a goddamned post. The southern generals were far superior to their northern counterpart. Hell, European powers sent people over here to study CSA battle tactics. Where do you think Hitler came up with the Blitzkrieg?
And for the most part, they were better men in general than the northerners.

sounds like you would have been another agitator that needed a lesson ending in a short drop and a sudden stop.

I'm gonna say yes, go ahead and change them, just for the entertainment value. I'm nothing if not short-sighted.

He also intregated the first church here in Richmond. Yet people up here fire bomb his mural and call him a racist. Da fuq?
History is not taught and ignorance rules the minds of society today.
This is how people like Hitler can uprise as the vast majority are like cattle, you can lead them anywhere and sell them bullshite and they'll buy it.

Abraham Lincoln violated the Constitution and the rights of citizens in some of the most ridiculous ways possible and said some of the most racist shite I've ever heard.
