Always was…and terribly unfunny.

I love Howard, but he’s fricking stupid with this Covid shite. He’ll probably never leave his apt again. He’s terrified of Covid.

I still listen to the show every day but mainly because I've been doing it for so long that I don't want to let it go. The main problem is that the show desperately needs to return to the studio. It's essentially become a mediocre podcast of him and Robin just going back and forth about random shite.
He's so overly paranoid about COVID that he hasn't left his house in 2 years. What made the show still be funny was having the staffers in studio and all of the funny shite they would do. That element of everyone being there in the studio and riffing off of each other is missing and it's really hurt the show. The interviews are awful now too, the zoom call model is so bad... Howard and the guest constantly talking over each other, and everything eventually gets to Howard psychoanalyzing the person and asking about why their parents didn't love them.
I don't understand how Sirius can continue to let this "broadcast from home" version of the show go on. If it continues like this for the remaining 4 years of his career it will be a huge disappointment and a shitty way to go out.

podcasts are everywhere and they are much better than Stern now. He's done.

he's a certified loon now. In the last 2+ years, he leaves his apartment only to go on masked walks. He hasn't seen friends, refuses to go out to eat, etc. Everything the man does is in his apartment with 35 cats. He's literally become the old cat lady.

Always had been an obnoxious, vulgar, soy sucking, girly man.

Imagine not knowing Howard Stern was a demoralization agent used to pervert the minds of listeners every morning on the way to work/school.
Like imagine just having no clue to the larger agenda on humanity.
Just imagine being fricking retarded.

The moment to me when he had his "emperor with no clothes" moment was way back in the 90s when he had his TV show on late night. It was just a recording of that day's radio show. You'd hear him gush about all these hot chicks in the studio and then you'd see them on TV and they were barely trailer park trash level. Put a huge dent in the mystique of the show.
Then, he ran his mouth about his movie and how he was the King of All Media. He was going to crush the box office. Private Parts comes out and makes about $10.75.

I still have Stern programmed into my favorites but it’s rare I stop there anymore. 5 years ago I would have dropped Sirius if he left. Now I wouldn’t care if he left at all. I’ve gone from being a huge fan to just simply being bored by him. And I’ve gone from not liking (basically neutral) Robin to actively hating her. It’s been a slow death that picked up steam during Covid.

Howard Stern is a huge gaping vagina.

Dont listen anymore but he was always a Germ Freak back in the 90's. Long before this so not surprising.

I was kinda in the same boat. I listened daily, but then the demise started with Trump. Howard slowly shifted from funny & irreverent, to miserable and political. He couldn't stand the orange man. Then COVID happened and he completely lost it. The show became disjointed and paranoid, until I realized he hadn't made me laugh in a while. Sal, Richard, Ronnie and the gang not being in studio really let the air out of what was the only funny crap on the show and the interviews were severely lacking out of the studio.
I quit Sirius in the spring after 12 years and haven't missed it.
