I’m reading between the lines here, but if you hit a hobo and didn’t stop...no, don’t file the claim. They’ll be looking for cars with front end damage that reported hitting a “deer”. Light it on fire.

The reason you have insurance isn’t to file a claim over every little thing. Use it when needed, like total loss situations. For small stuff, just pay out of pocket for what’s necessary to fix. Get multiple quotes and go with cheapest.

I think you need to sue the State for damages. The State makes citizens buy a license to hunt and kill deer; so they seem to believe that they have some sort of ownership or custodial duty to the deer. As such, IMHO they have taken responsibility of the deer and should be held accountable for any and all damages incurred by the deer.

This is true unless there was a deer crossing sign within 1000 ft of the collision.

LOL just like 90% of the OT you don’t know jack shite about insurance. Hitting an animal is a comp claim.

ETA Hitting a human being however, is a collision claim. Just a fun fact for the day.

Get Farmers. They'll cover you if a plane drops a frozen crap bomb on your car. It's covered.

If you hit the deer out of season or did not have a big game hunting license they may come back on your for killing the deer out of season or without a proper license.

This is some next level sarcasm right here...or you're a dumbass, haven't decided yet.
