I'm all for safety and my son (7) is just starting tackle..

We have practice tonight when it will likely be in the mid to high 90s.

Proper precautions will nullify the threat.

Too many people trying to put the titty in the kids' mouth.

But the creatine and steroids don't mix too well in this soup.

You could have him become a cheerleader. He will be severely tormented for the next few years, but by the end of high school - going to college - he will be in line for some talent. Unless he's ugly and fat.

Well would you be okay with 98-99? What a huge difference we are talking here.

I would rather him be alive

well he probably doesn't with a dad like you....

I mean the odds of him croaking over on the football field is pretty fricking low. And if he does it's because of the shitty genes that he was passed down from his retard father and needs to be culled from the breeding population anyway

High schoolers have been out in this heat for decades doing two-a-days

but in the decades for us as children........we played outside. so.....our bodies were more acclimated for the heat compared to these children now a days.

This is Louisiana. What other option is there? Practice at 4:30 AM or 10 PM?

They get unlimited gatorade and water now. Most high schools have trainers now that keep an eye on weight loss between practices. One told me that was the best indicator of fluid loss and dehydration. Things have changed since the old days.
