I wouldn't mind it if they were understated. The Mercedes star still looks good on some 90's and 2000's cars in my opinion.

No, but I still see a few on new looking cars.

Saw one today on whatever is the luxury car that Hyundai sells and I'm pretty sure the new Mercedes-Benz cars have them.

Tacky, IMO.

Don't think those would comply with the modern pedestrian crash standards

When I was in middle school everyone used to steal hood ornaments. Cadillac were the ones everyone wanted.

I knew one kid who had like thirty of em.

Nope. They are a safety hazard. My aunt got rear ended so hard she (who wasn't wearing her fricking seatbelt) got thrown out of her car and her nose caught on the hood ornament and ripped part of it off. I Can think of plenty of other shite happening with them too.

Only if they have thermometers in them, like the originals, back in the 20s & 30s.

I actually like some of the hood ornamants that used to be out there...however, I think this is the very reason that they wouldn't work today....

No.

International safety regulations won't allow it to happen.

Plus, they suck, so, no.
