they shouldnt, but then but then most pets do as they please any way, but the attempt should still be made to have them stay off the furniture

They shouldn’t be allowed in a house period.

At least you’re honest about it.

Yes. This was his couch. Hence the gnarly cover. Now in the new place he plays on leather couches.

And ottomans

No. That's what dog beds are made for. Mine is allowed on the ottoman at least. No way on the sofa.
Probably depends on size and breed, too. My lab sheds like a mofo.

Tjane had no kids of her own, so the dogs are basically her kids. They have full access to furniture. Only exception is, when I get home from work, whoever is on my chair has to gtf up.

During the day, one of my dogs lays on the back of the couch and looks out the window. I see homes in which you can see their pup doing the same thing.. Laying on the back of the couch looking out the window.

My other dog is longer and has shorter legs so he can't jump (which pisses him off because my other dog can so he has to go to the back of the couch and put his paws up and barely look out the window).

If someone doesn't want their dog on their furniture then that's their house, I respect their freedom to make that decision.

Bed is fine since you change the sheets regularly but dogs can ruin furniture pretty quick
