If its non-toxic/environmental hazard then yes.

No, it's a business in a capitalist country.

No, one should drive under the influence of anything. For their own safety, and others.

Do you also think our tax dollars should go towards healthcare of these people that abuse these drugs?

Yes, it's better used that way than for housing them in jail anyways.

All drugs, no. Most, yes

All drugs should be decriminalized for the user and increased focus on treatment.

Plus, that frees up money and assets to crackdown on manufacturers and traffickers.

Sure.

How is prohibition working?

Yes. You’re much more likely to score Xanax than Valium.

The crackdown is the source of the extreme profitability.

And it doesn’t work.

Allow anybody to make, store, transfer and sell.
That takes away the profit.

Users in their home or invited private property, leave them alone.

Users endangering the public, fry’em.

So where is all the money going to go that we save on the war on drugs and housing drug dealers and users in prisons if we legalize drugs?

Won’t we need money to regulate the drug business like we do for food and pharmaceuticals?

Those places are where all the lazy/stupid 'nurses and doctors' are employed.

Has to be a troll, you can't possibly be this dumb. Or can you?

In regards to the idea, yes, everything should be legal. People wouldn't be making their own shitty meth if they could get it cheap and legally. Its possible it could lead to a temporary uptick in new users. Over time though, that would fall and likely lead to even less addicts than we have now. This country tends to try to ignore and hide problems. Wouldn't be able do that anymore. But that benefits long term.

Of course, uncle sam isnt going to want to lose one of his major sources of income.

Gotcha. I've been pretty straight laced for 15+ years so I'm not sure what people do these days. I know the amount of heroin overdoses is crazy to me. I've never even seen the stuff but have lost a few classmates to it in the past few years.

For 1/5 of the same price. Other money goes back into the state.

Alcohol is regulated and manufacturing, distribution and consumption is controlled.

Yes, the war on pain pills actually led to heroin’s popularity skyrocketing.

This is true, you’d also have a lot less alcoholics.

I’m all for legalizing pot, but not cocaine, meth or heroin.
