I will NEVER understand the mentality of someone that says "hmmm... a fistfight, let me go get my gun and start shooting." They didn't even act like it was that big of a deal. It looked like he shot into the ground right by the one that was down. That is how people get dead even if he didn't mean to necessarily shoot someone.
